Our Story
The founding pastor of Discovery Church, Pastor Sahluko Sithole, together with his wife, Pastor Lorraine Sithole, received a clear call from God to build an urban city church in Durban—a place where people from all walks of life could experience the love of Christ and find their purpose in Him. With their two daughters, Zion and Hesed, by their side, they have poured their hearts into creating a church that feels like home for families, individuals, and the unchurched alike.
The Journey
The journey to building Discovery Church is grounded in a deep trust in God’s provision and purpose. Today, Discovery Church is a vibrant community that stands as a testament to God’s faithfulness. With a heart for the city of Durban, Pastors Sahluko and Lorraine have dedicated their lives to creating an environment where people can encounter Jesus, discover who they are in Him, and be transformed.
